Dear
Sir-
We represent the owner of the "Jiffy Lube" trademark.
Late last week, we discovered that your website, www.getingetoffgetout.com,
is using the Jiffy Lube trademark and name without any
authorization from the trademark holder. This represents an actionable
infringement of our client's rights under federal and state law.
We have called and spoken with a gentleman named "JD," whom we
understand manages, or has some other influence over the content of, the
website, regarding our client's concerns. JD has informed us that any and
all reference to the phrase "Jiffy Lube" will be immediately removed
from the website, and that any other unauthorized use of our client's name and
mark (whether in the title page, or on any subsequent pages, images or links)
shall cease immediately.
If the information we have been provided is inaccurate in any
respect, and the website does not intend to remove any and all reference to
the Jiffy Lube trademark or name immediately, please advise us at once.
We look forward to your prompt cooperation.
Very truly yours,
Claude Stern
